Multiple Applications Use Case

Usage Scenario:
Service Providers(SPs) have applications that are optimized for a specific network, however when a network evolves, either through an acquisition, scheduled upgrade, or network build-out, SPs are faced with the challenge of how to create feature transparency across disparate networks. The core network has been built with the purpose of connecting subscribers, not applications. Throw multiple networks into the equation, and this complexity is highly intensified. Applications need and deserve the same flexibility as is given to subscribers by the core network to keep pace with the demands of those same subscribers.

ASC SOLUTION: FEATURE TRASPARENCY

Purpose-Built ASC Approach AppTrigger’s Application Session Controller (ASC) reduces the duplication and proliferation of applications and network elements in a network. The ASC protects the investment made by SPs in their network and applications by insulating the applications from changes in the network. With the ASC, SPs no longer need to live in fear of upgrading existing network equipment to pick up a protocol upgrade or addressing a new market through acquisition because of the network abstraction provided by the ASC. Since the applications are built on top of a platform that is purpose built to adapt to the evolving network, the applications can remain unchanged even as the network they operate in changes. This capability provided by the ASC enables SPs and Application Developers to concentrate their attention and money on new applications designed to increase ARPU, instead of maintaining applications to retain ARPU. The ASC is simply a smarter choice for SPs and Application Developers.
