Unisys Selects AppTrigger to Power its Application Session Controller
Strategic partnership with AppTrigger to enable service providers to provide seamless voice and video application delivery along the path to IMS.
RICHARDSON, Texas — November 5, 2007 — AppTrigger, Inc., a leading developer of application connectivity solutions for the telecom marketplace, today announced that the company has been chosen by Unisys to be the featured technology partner in its upcoming Application Session Controller (ASC) product release. With this collaboration, AppTrigger’s core technology will power the Unisys ASC, a highly scalable, carrier grade network element that enables IMS, VoIP, and legacy intelligent network (IN) applications to be resistant from the changes in converging networks. The Unisys Application Session Controller provides Unisys’s 150m+ customers the ability to seamlessly migrate and modernize their existing Unisys network platforms.
With this announcement, Unisys extends its commitment to innovation by providing its customers with a more cost-effective and future-proof application connectivity solution which will aid to eliminate the current application stovepipe challenges faced by the service provider marketplace today. This allows service providers to leverage their current investments while extending the life of existing applications. The Unisys ASC leverages AppTrigger’s powerful IN-SCS functionality to enable service providers to bridge the gap by allowing their existing voice centric IN applications such as pre-paid and voice messaging are able to work within the IMS networks. The Application Session Controller allows service providers to avoid the need to replace these IN applications allowing for dramatic CAPEX savings.
